I’m not here to trash anybody, and I’ll start by saying that, for most of the last 5 years we’ve been with Gusto, the experience was great, but this story has cost us a ton of time, money, and tax penalties. You can switch to or from a payroll provider like Gusto any time. You can usually switch health benefit providers without coverage gaps too, though you’ll want to check with Gusto if you plan to switch from your current health care provider to a Gusto-brokered health plan. In terms of cost, QuickBooks Payroll’s basic plan has a higher starting price but a lower per-payee fee.

Gousto Review – My Opinion

gusto reviews

Gousto is operated by SCA Investments Limited, a British company based in London that began in 2012. They started well and even appeared on Dragon’s Den the following year. Although the dragons didn’t invest, the company has gone from strength to strength and they’ve now sent out over 140 million meals. I would love to improve my culinary skills but time gets in the way.

There, you’ll find a full list of compatible software solutions, sorted into different categories. For complicated benefits like 401(k) plans, you must integrate with partners like Human Interest, Guideline, retained earnings balance sheet and Vestwell directly from Gusto’s dashboard. Gusto even lets you select the survey topics and questions for each month.

  • We found the process of setting up a payroll schedule pretty easy.
  • Gusto has a rating of 1.4 stars from 20 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases.
  • I downloaded the iOS app, which provides the same basic functionality you can get from the web-based employee dashboard.
  • From the employee side, it’s very easy to initiate an expense reimbursement request.
  • However, Paychex charges extra fees for a host of services Gusto bundles into its base price.

Is Gousto worth the money?

And while Gusto has a low starting base cost, its above-average per-employee fee makes it less affordable the more employees you have. While the other two plans limit you to Gusto-brokered insurance, the Premium plan also gives you health insurance broker integration. If you want more insurance options than you can get through Gusto, Gusto Premium has your back. We love that even with Gusto’s cheapest plan, the software automates just about every payroll task. That automation is a lifesaver for busy small-business owners who literally can’t afford to waste time manually running payroll every single pay period. Gusto’s Restaurant Cash Flow Management friendly design and full-service payroll system with HR features make it the best overall payroll software provider.

  • It had the second-highest number of features among all the software we reviewed, beaten only by TriNet Zenefits.
  • Forbes Advisor evaluated Gusto’s platform to help you decide if it’s right for your business.
  • I called months ago to make sure everything would be handled during the registration process and was told not to worry — but nothing was done.
  • It will send you notifications, such as when you need to select the meals for your next order.
  • Did not give me credit for subscription charges, only one credit allowed.
